HARLEM AMBASSADORS LAUNCH TALENT SEARCH FOR WOMEN PLAYERS

The Harlem Ambassadors touring show basketball team announced today the start of a nationwide talent search for women players. The Ambassadors, who play 120 games annually, are led by Ladè Majic, Queen of Show Basketball, and the only woman coach/player of a team of professional men players.

"We are looking for flashy players desiring to learn the art of traditional African-American show basketball from the greatest woman performer in history," said Ambassadors President and General Manager Dale Moss. Candidates selected for this Ambassadors program will become professional players and would apprentice under the guidance of Ladè Majic learning the skills and talents needed to entertain show basketball fans.

"Show basketball is an original African-American art form that has been passed in the oral tradition from generation to generation," observed Ladè Majic, who is also the Ambassadors Vice President of Basketball Operations. "I was fortunate to learn from veteran greats in New Jersey and New York when I was introduced to the art form," she added. "It was a great way to learn the craft."

Among the requirements for players entering this program are a drug-free lifestyle, a demonstrated desire to work with young people, completed college eligibility, and the willingness to travel up to eight months a year. "The player that has always been known as a 'hot dog' or a 'showboat' may find those skills to be desirable with us," said Ladè Majic.

The Harlem Ambassadors basketball operations staff will be attending the NCAA Women's Final Four in St. Louis to talk to coaches about potential candidates for this program and to scout players.

Players interested in try-outs with the Harlem Ambassadors should contact the team at 970-472-1000.
